I’ve been occupied. Sorry.
So here’s some stuff from my sketchbook:
My pen ran out of ink.
Some random page.
Close up of Antlerpus.
I have a sick relationship with baked goods.
I have a lot of free time.
Ok. I’ll be back later.
Hey look! It’s my sketchbook!
It’s also doubled as my note book for 3d kinetic anatomy, art history of africa, and a 70s film class.
Nothin like the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793.
I like my adhesives shiny, that way it’s impossible to take a picture of it.
I’m into hand writing everything I hear. And defacing other artists’ work.
I dont have an explanation for this.
Hello all. I’ve been MIA for couple of days and it’s been wonderful. I was in Baltimore with the love of my life (if you are just dying from curiosity). But now, it’s time for some serious biznass:
This is my current sketchbook. It is almost filled with my ever flowing stream of mind vomit.
^First page. (Not an accurate representation of my skillz)
I’m very much in love with Audrey Kawasaki’s work. In fact, I may go so far as to say that I’m in love with Audrey Kawasaki.
These are my notes from my summer class: After Hollywood, a history of films from the late 60’s to 70’s. I’m not a very efficient note taker.
I saw this little old lady on the Fox Point trolly. She ugged in the ugly.
Well my dearly devoted three internet fans, that is all I’ll expose today. More to come later.
I refuse to apologize for the awful warm lighting. These photos were taken in my apartment in Providence. I’m pretty sure the paint on the walls is the same color they used to paint the yellow lines on the road with. And I have awful yellow lighting in there as well. I’m praying all this warm lighting hasn’t damaged my ability to see cool colors. But then again, I’ve been getting along fairly well with partial dichromatism.
For those keeping score at home dichromatism is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as:
dichromatism |dīˈkrōməˌtizəm|noun1 (typically in an animal species) the occurrence of two different kinds of coloring.2 color-blindness in which only two of the three primary colors can be discerned.DERIVATIVESdichromatic |ˌdīkrōˈmatik| |ˈdaɪkrəˈmødɪk| |ˈdaɪkroʊˈmødɪk||dʌɪkrə(ʊ)ˈmatɪk| adjective
This is an old sketchbook of mine. Perfect to start off with. It’s from 2007-2008.
I was (and still am) very into Alphonse Mucha, King of All Things Art Nouveau. Please for the love of art, if you do not know who he is, look him up.
I went through a marker phase. My inner child demanded tools, but my inner adult would not let me use crayons.
My marker phase was extensive.
I had a brief love affair with medical illustration. I even bought a medical illustration coloring book because – let’s face it – I fucking love coloring.
More medical illustration fetish. I was (and still am) into writing all over things. I can’t explain why.
That was it for the old. I promise only new things from now on. And I’m terribly sorry for the wonky sizes of things. I’m trying my very hardest to be more technologically literate, but it’s like teaching Helen Keller how to drive.
Yes. I did in fact make a Helen Keller joke.
Will be working away in my newish sketchbook for the rest of the week. Sneek peeks will come later.
